Sanganabhatla is a Sanganabhatla word that means " Harish Shankar is a Telugu film screenwriter, dialogue writer, actor, and director who is best known for his work in Telugu cinema and theatre. Shock (2006), produced by Ram Gopal Varma, was his directorial debut.
He won the SIIMA Award for Best Director and the CineMAA Award for Best Director for his films Mirapakay (2011) and Gabbar Singh (2012). Gabbar Singh was one of the highest-earning Telugu films at the time, grossing 150 crores (US$21 million) worldwide. He directed Ramayya Vasthavayya (2013), which grossed US$309 million (US$4.3 million) internationally, and Duvvada Jagannadham (2017), which grossed 115.10 crores internationally.
